1st grader .....

Kedaar started first grade. We shifted him from Kids Connection to Brewer Island Elementary school which is a public school in foster city with good rating. The school started beginning of August and its good so far in the last few weeks Hard to believe the little kid is already in his first grade ..

Art summer camp, 2012

Kedaar started going to summer camp this week, the first 2 weeks are with Mrs.Shilpa Badadare near by our house. Kedaar loved the art summer camp and enjoyed the art very much. Some of the nice art work (canvas paint) he did in these 2 weeks.

Movie watching

Tired of watching all the kiddy stuff for too long, I asked Kedaar to watch a family/children movie with me for a change. We chose a movie called "Perfect game" from netflix.
The movie was very interesting, about how a team from won baseball championship. Kedaar enjoyed the movie fuly as the kids started learning, winning the game. I think he got inspired by it as well, when the movie ended, he went to bedroom to sleep (around night 10 PM) with full of tears in his eyes and he said "mummy, I get tears in my eyes even if it is a good movie". It was amazing that movies can impact kids as well so much and then after that he talked non-stop for 1 hr on how much he likes sports and what all games he can play with super excitement. I saw him getting little involved when we went to some dramatic telugu/hindi movies as well before (where he said at the end how he never want to go such movies again), but this time this was truly inspiration. Anyway, something to remember. Watching TV or movies with Kedaar is so much fun.. whether it is some silly dragon tales he loves, or Seinfeld I love or movies like which all of us can enjoy!

Kindergarten graduation

Kedaar completed Kindergarten at KidsConnection elementary school, Foster city. The year was amazing and he learned a lot and made so many friends. Now its vacation time! Photos from the occasson.

Amazing mothers day

What a beautiful mothers day with the party at Kedaar'school for all the kindergartners and the moms with 5th graders helping in the party. The little kids practiced 4 beautiful songs and sang them so cutely. Kedaar made lot of presents for mom, not only the ones he did at school and a lot of little mother arts he did on the same and gave it to mom with each one followed by hugs and kisses. It was a beautful occassion. Here are few pictures.

Kedaar art collection

Kedaar does a lot of art as part of his regular class and also as part of the art classes he is attending. Just wanted to remember some of the art work he did in the last few months so that I can protect them against the wear and tear of paper.

How to be a good boy?

As usual Kedaar is cranky, loud all of a sudden. After calming him down with hugs and kisses, we put him to bath. During bath, we asked him to stay in the tub for some time and thing how he can be a better kid to parents while relaxing in water.

Later we got busy in some thing else and we are thinking that we have to go and bring him out from bath.
Then to our surprise, Kedaar was before us, all nicely dressed up and he says "mommy, I thought how I can be a better kid for long time, then I got a great idea, so I came out, wiped myself with towel, took my night dress and wore it by myself. I also dried up my hair myself" !!!!

Today, he comes home and says , "mummy, I was thinking about how to be a better kid for 3 hrs in green art class and I have more great ideas".

Monster Jam race event

Kedaar and dad attended the monster jam event. This is a race of the monster trucks.
Kedaar had super fun looking, touching the giant trucks and the races. Apparently the whole event was full of huge bunch of excited kids.

Caring and concerning

Mommy has been sick for almost a week now and the first thing Kedaar is doing after coming from school is touch momy's forehead and check, "mummy , how are you feeling, you feel still hot". While he is at home , he always hangs around me, sitting so close. Though it is worrying that he might get the fever too, it is a nice feeling to have such as caring and conerning kid :)
