Kedaar's family is growing with bunch of build a bear babies and they are occupying the whole king bed..

Kedaar's art work

Kedaar is extremely interested in art now. He used to lot of coloring, art projects, crafts in Americas Child Montessori, Seattle as well, but here he seems to be more interested. He likes to be called as a "good artist" and howmuch ever tired he is he will choose perfect colors to precisely get beauty for the picture. He has 2 interesting habits now, one is to draw a picture every place he visits indicating his experience (some times he takes paper with him) and the second is to do a drawing as one of the birthday prensets to parents.
On all the drawings he keeps at home, the common sentence is "mom, i love u, dad, i love you' :)

Kedaar and mom's work

Its night time , 9.30 PM.I talked to Kedaar for some time, told a story and he is ready to sleep while I was getting up to get my laptop to work.

Kedaar: Mommy, you are not going to sleep? you said you are sleepy?
Mom : No naanna, I need to work. Though I worked in office, I still need to work at home to finish.
Kedaar: You will be so tired if you do that mummy. I want you take come and sleep for a long time now.

He fell asleep and got up at 7 AM. I got up at 6 AM and again took latptop as first thing in morning.

Kedaar: Mommy, did you work throughout the night?
I think its time for a vacation. So tired and really need a break so I can spend full time with Kedaar by forgetting all the stress.

Big boy

Yesterday was the first day I had to do the pick up for Kedaar. It is generally dad's job to do the drop and pick up.
I am generally not good in remembering roads, so I rely on GPS or cell phone for the routes. Somehow I reached the school on time (using cell as GPS was not working). Did the pick up and then all of a sudden cell lost charge as well :) I kind of know how to get back home but was not super confident.
Then Kedaar got into car and said , mummy, dont worry, I know how to go home. I can give you directions as I see it everyday with daddy. Anyway we started driving back and I get left, right, left, u-turn directions from Kedaar and within few mins, there is Foster landing board on our right. Kedaar suddenly shouted, "mummy, dont go straight, we need to go take one more right and just go around". I know that part and was amazed at how precise he was at remembering each and every turn. When we reached home, Kedaar says "mummy, do you think I am just clever or am I genious" :)

Kindergarten

Kedaar started Kindergarten last week from Sep6th in Kids Connection, Foster City, CA. He started in a public school called "Brewer island elementary" from Aug 1st for KIndergarten but it didnt work out for us, so we shifted him to the private school this month. This school so far is good, seems like it can engage the curious kids.
His teacher at the school is Ms.Kasturi Basu seem to be gentle and nice. Hope he will have fun and enriching school life at this school.
Wow, 5 yrs and Kindergarten, Time just flew by and the little one is a Big boy now.

Dream cars

Kedaar's one of the dreams came true. Kedaar is super fascinated by cars, names/models of about 200 cars, how the engine works, how many exhausters they have, which cars are the fastest, which are rugged etc etc. Whenever we are driving or on road for some reason, there is non-stop naming of cars, models and its really amazing how many things he can exactly name. Along with brand, model, now a days he is able to say its year also. Anyway, Daddy took Kedaar to the practise session of Infineon raceway (near Sonoma) end of August. This is the day before the actual races and you can see the race cars much closer and enjoy some practise races.
He had super fun in the visit and here are some pictures from the trip.

Kedaar preschool graduation and next step for the future doctor..

Kedaar completed his preschool and kindergarten starts tomorrow.
Its been over 2 1/2 yrs since he is attending the preschool and we have been a significant progress in the things he has learnt. He learnt to fairly fluently read now from Alphabets, learnt additions upto adding 6 from recognizing numbers, made so many great friends, went through a big move to CA, explored Karate/Taekwando, Keyboard, art, soccer, swimming extra curricular activities and many more.
Its a been a fun ride and more fun starts when he enters his next big stage when he goes from a school with 1-5 yr old children to 5-10 yr old children elementary school. We wish all the best to the little master to makes everyday of ours irrespective of the tantrums :)

The school didnt allow us to take pictures so Kedaar had to present (represent) his performance at home. Now his consistent future ambition is "I want to become a doctor who drives ferrari"

Taekwando orange belt

First 2 from when apeared for orange belt in CA, the next 2 are from when appeared for yellow belt in WA in April.









Kedaar attended the promotion test this month and got the next level of belt after the yellow black. It is the orange belt. The yellow black belt he got back in April on world cup final day :). Kedaar had to do what in Takenwando they call as the Form 1 and Form 2 (called sunrise, sunset respectively) and few types of kicks and playing defense for this promotion test. Kedaar did it and passed the test. Kedaar has a new asporation now, i.e. get an olympic gold medal like his teacher Mr. Perez. He wants to attend Olympic camp.

Lawrence hall of science, Berkley

We visited Lawrence hall of science for a dynosaur exhibit. The place is amazing and Kedaar had lot of fun playing with the roller coaster experiments and the learning about dynosaurs.

Foster City Carnival

Foster city is a fun little place. People here seem to be quite relaxed and always enjoying some lake side walk or a nice bike ride. Recently Foster city had the carnival. This is an yearly event and conducted by kedaar's takenwando teacher Mr.Perez. The Taekwando schoo kids of "Gold Medal martial arts" gave a performance. All the youngest children (which is where Kedaar belongs) are also welcomed to perform some little things. Kedaar got tensed in the last min and preferred not to go there. None the less the performances were great and the carnival was nice fun for him too.

Santa Cruz trip

For the July 4th long weekend, Kedaar had a great trip to Santa Cruz with Isha akka and Sriram (Saritha/Sree;s family). It was very too hot. Kids really didnt go to the beach instead had great fun with dand, lot of carnival rides.

Car quiz

Nice summer evening, night 8'0 clock.
Dad and Kedaar goes for a walk. Kedaar cannot stop talking, he has so many things to explain and so many questions to ask to dad. The most famous conversation now is..
[Kedaar] Daddy, lets do a quiz on cars. You tell one letter and I will tell the car name that starts with it.
[Daddy]ok, let me think. The letter is..
[kedaar]Ok, Ok, I will tell what we should start with., H for Hummer, hummer is greatest car. it can go in jungles, on water, everywhere.
[Daddy]ok, let me ask next.[starts thinking]
[Kedaar] How about we do "P" daddy. P for Porche. Porche is the fastest race car. its faster than even Ferrari. Hey, "F" for Ferrari. I wish I have so much money to buy one Porche and one Ferrari for my own self
[Daddy] you can buy it when you grow up and study well. Ok, lets continue.
[Kedar] ok, let me tell. A for Acura or Accord, B for BMW, C for Corvette, F for Ferrari, H for Hummer, M for Mercedes Benz, N for Nissan Maxima, P for Porche, what else. [He keeps thinking and ush, back to home already]

He lives and breathes cars now. Finally the trains are over and we are fuly into cars.
