Kedaar Cute Acts

Here a some of Kedaar's recent photos. Last weekend we went to Seattle downtown Alki beach as it aws little sunny and Kedaar had nice fun over there. He does so many new acts now a days and I don't even remmeber all of them to write down in this blog. Few things that come to mind are
1. Giving kisses. He gave lot of kisses grand parents over phone. And we can not count how many times he gives kisses to mummy, daddy and to his favorite Pooh bear.
2. He picks up thins on floor and gives "Mummy, theesu(take)", he also says "po po","mama","nanna","tatha","oopsie","oh no","shoes","socks","pooh","bear","noone" etc.
3.Giving hifi.
4.Taking his pooh for ride on his train. Whenever it fails, it says "Oopsie". Kedaar laughs so much whe it says that and some times he intentionally moves the train to make the pooh bear fall.
5.Whenever a song which has some beat is played in car, he automatically moves his hands and legs rhythmically while sitting in car seat itself.
6. Throwing things on floor saying "Chee" whenever we khim to throw something. One quality I love about him is - whenever he is doing something bad like eating things on floor, touching stove etc,he keeps his eye on us. If we dont put encouraging face, he just doesnt do it. If we dont observe him, then he grabs our attention by doign something and looks for our reaction before really doing that bad thing.
7.Combing hair for mummy.

Kedaar completes 15 months today

Kedaar completed 15 months today on Feb 8th.
He and his new toys , a walking pooh and curious grorge riding on a train are doing great. Chandra has signed up for swimming classes for Kedaar for Feb month and yesterday they tried it for the first time. Kedaar had lot of fun. Kedaar in general likes water so much and doesnt want to come out of the tub whenever we give him bath. Kedaar now shows his nose, eyes, ears and some times cheeks. He does this so cute. Recently we had lot of snow in Seattle. Kedaar had a lot of fun in snow. If we ask him "is it snowing", he immediately goes to window to see if it is snowing. He does this when showing the moon as well.
Here are some videos we took recently doing these acts.

One thing he is doing often these days is giving hug and kiss immediately when we ask him. He gives lot of hugs Pooh, his bear toys, and also mom, dad. He gives kiss to his photos as well saying 'babyyy' :) He is also very helpful to mummy in kitche. If some vessels, spoons are lying around, he immediately brings them saying "theeso" whic means take it.He likes to listen to his favorite rhymes on Chandra's cell phone. He just knows how to pause and start songs on the cell phone and I don't understand how smartly and quickly he can do that. He is also trying to say few words like hello, apple etc. His favorite rhymes now a days are "How much is that doggy in the Window" and 'The farmer in the dell, hi ho the derry ho the farmer in the dell". For the doggy rhyme, he also makes "Pow pow" dog sounds and for the other rhyme, he tries to bend on his knees and getup as the kids in that song do.

He keeps on running around the house nonstop and comes up with some new trick everyday to surprise us.
In the last month, he got cold/cough several times with little fever. He is doing better now. I am just waiting for this those spring/summer months to show up.

Kedaar completes 14 months

Kedaar completed 14 months on Jan 8th. Somehow because of busy days at work, we didnt remember that day. On Jan 9th, when we got up, we just remembered that our cute boy has grown one more month. Few new things he has been doing in this month..
He says "mummy", "amma" and "Naanna" very clearly with lot of stress. He also says words that sounds like "i c" etc. He also operates cell phone and tries calling to his grand parents when it is locked :) One of his favorite activities keep listening to songs on cell phone. He also enjoys the steam that comes out of rice cooker saying "aaahh". Whenever the "old mcdonald had a farm" song comes, he sings "EIEIO".He tries to build using the building blocks we bought for him.

Last weekend, we went to picture people to do one more photo session for Kedaar. We have been planning for it since he turned and finally could make it. The pictures came out nicely.

Bye Bye 2007 and Welcome 2008

What an amazing year 2007 was, full of wonderful memories.
It transformed a small 2 month old infant who slept on a
playpen quietly to quick learning ever active playful 13month old.
Right from lifting up, crawling, standing up, taking steps, walking, running to kicking soccer ball with reflections,
every small moment has been amazing. Both of us moved on to new
companies with new roles which we always wanted to be, it all
happened for good in this year. We made a book with Kedaar's first
year memories for his birthday using this blog entries and his pictures, it came out nicely. Here is the link :

Kedaar comples 13 months

Kedaar completed 13 months today.
We went to Bellevue Squaremall for buying something today unplanned. Last year he completed one month on Dec 8th and we took him for the fist time out side after his birth to Bellevue Squaremall in his stroller. We noticed that Christmas decorations in the mall today were exactly same as last year. That is a very nice memory.

Kedaar seems to became much more active after he turned one. We bought a front facing car seat for him now from BabysRus and now he is enjoying going in the car very much.

We are actually thinking of going to a long trip during Christmas time as Kedaar's day care lady is going to be OOF for a week during that time.Kedaar loves outdoors. We went Mount Rainier during Thanksgiving holidays. He loved playing with the snow there and doesnt want to come back to sit in the car. I want to take him to more sunny beach sort of place.

Few tricks he did this month.

1. He is an expert tracing moon now. If we ask him "where is Chandamama", he shows the moon with his finger. He also keeps searching for the moon when he is in the car.
2. He clealry says "Nanna", "Amma", "taata", "Bye bye C u" now. He also lot of complete sentences in his language and try to make conversations with people.
3. He goes to hardwood floor and hits his head against if he is not happy with what we do with him (like snatching things from him etc). But then, in seconds, he gets diverted.
4. He knows pooja room very well now. Whenever we go to temple, if he sees any picture of god or whenever we say "dandam pettu", he immediately gets his hands together for praying god.

5. He loves kitchen, if I am in the kitchen, he has to see what's going on there.
6. He plays peekaboo now and tries to surprise us by doing something suddenly when we dont expect.
7. He can easily climb tup the bed and climb down. He can open and close microwave.
8. He is learning how to give a hug. He loves soft toys. We got a very soft bear from him in San diego. That is his favorite. He just keeps hugging it and plays by putting his face against it. He also affectionately gives hug to people.

Kedaar turns ONE

Today is Kedaar's first birthday. I can not believe it is one year already since this cute boy entered into our world.

He started his day with wishes from grandparents and cousins early in the morning.
Then we took him into his room which we painted in light green last week. We also sticked a 5 ft pooh poster in the room. He was super excited to see that.
We went to temple later, but unforunately the temple was closed as we reached there little late around 12 PM.
After temple, we celebrated Kedaar's birthday in his day care with balloons and cake. All the kids had lot of fun.
In the evening, we did Ariselu perantam for Kedaar by calling 3, 4 families. They do this when the kid starts taking his first steps.
I really wanted to do this for him though he started walking 2 months back :) I got these from Vasanthi, a friend of ours coming here from Microsoft India. The perantam was fun and Kedaar enjoyed it.

We are also hosting a party coming Sunday for his birthday.
One more special thing for the birthday, this blog I have been writing from almost an year finally came into the form of a book. We printed the book from blurb.com. The book quality was amazing and we are going to order more copies of these.
Here are the few pictures from the occassion.

RECW get together

Some of us from RECW planned a get together in our house last Saturday. 9 families attended this party and we had lots of fun. We want to have more of this often and involve more people from RECW who live in Seattle here.
While the elders were busy playing DumbC, Kedaar and SmithaV/Praveen's son Advik had fun racing with each other in climbing stairs.
Here are few pictures from the occassion.

Here is an albumn of Kedaar's photos we took in the past month along with few pictures in his day care.

Kedaar's favourite play now a days is playing Peekaboo. He loves watching us doing it and he tries to imitate us immediately by putting hands on his cheeks, head, mouth wherever and plays Peekaboo.

North West trek wild life park

We went to North West trek wild life park last weekend with Kedaar. As that was a very sunny day, we just wanted to take Kedaar outside and we thought he might like looking at different animals if we go an animal park.
It is about 60 miles from our home. This is a good park with lots of animals and kids would surely enjoy it. Here are some of our pictures from this short trip.

Vinayaka Chavithi celebration

We celebrated vinayaka chavithi yesterday with Kedaar. We got up in the morning and did preparations for the puja. Kedaar was very excited to see all the decoration etc but by the we are almost ready, he slept off. We did the puja after he woke up around 1 PM. Initially he showed some interest and put some flowers with us, later he got busy playing. He tasted little bit of vundrallu and seemed to like it. Here are some pictures from the occassion.

Kedaar's first tooth

Kedaar started cutting a tooth after he completed his 9 months.
The pediatrician found it when we went to his 9th month immunizations:) Later it started showing up and now it became big.
His day care lady took a few days vacation combined with labor day and she was totally surprised seeing him with the grown tooth after she came back. Luckily he didnt seem to have too much pain or other symptoms people say generally happen when infants are teething.
We (he himself) are excited about his new tooth :)
