RECW get together

Some of us from RECW planned a get together in our house last Saturday. 9 families attended this party and we had lots of fun. We want to have more of this often and involve more people from RECW who live in Seattle here.
While the elders were busy playing DumbC, Kedaar and SmithaV/Praveen's son Advik had fun racing with each other in climbing stairs.

Kedaar is 11 months old

Kedaar completed 11 months yesterday Oct 8th. He is just one month from his big milestone, 1st birthday. I was just looking at the older posts in this blog where I posted Kedaar's photos when he was born, 1 month old etc. He has grown up so much and it was a lovely experience watching him grow before our eyes.

Kedaar completes 6 months in day care

Kedaar completed 6 months in his day care by October 1st week.
Thanks to Kathy, he likes his day care very much and never cried a
single day till now when we leave him there instead he joins other kids
to say "bye bye" to us :)

Kedaar's favourite play now a days is playing Peekaboo. He loves watching us doing it and he tries to imitate us immediately by putting hands on his cheeks, head,mouth wherever and plays Peekaboo.

North West trek wild life park

We went to North West trek wild life park last weekend with Kedaar. As that was a very sunny day, we just wanted to take Kedaar outside and we thought he might like looking at different animals if we go an animal park.
It is about 60 miles from our home. This is a good park with lots of animals and kids would surely enjoy it. Here are some of our pictures from this short trip.

Vinayaka Chavithi celebration

We celebrated vinayaka chavithi yesterday with Kedaar. We got up in the morning and did preparations for the puja. Kedaar was very excited to see all the decoration etc but by the we are almost ready, he slept off. We did the puja after he woke up around 1 PM. Initially he showed some interest and put some flowers with us, later he got busy playing.He tasted little bit of vundrallu and seemed to like it. Here are some pictures from the occassion.

First haircut for Kedaar on his 10th month birthday :)

Kedaar had his first haircut at Brat Pack in Redmond yesterday.
He did pretty good through out the process watching the lady who did har cut for him.
He became 10 months old yesterday as well. We have to start planning for his first birthday.

Kedaar's first tooth

Kedaar started cutting a tooth after he completed his 9 months.
The pediatrician found it when we went to his 9th month immunizations:) Later it started showing up and now it became big.
His day care lady took a few days vacation combined with labor day and she was totally surprised seeing him with the grown tooth after she came back. Luckily he didnt seem to have too much pain or other symptoms people say generally happen when infants are teething.
We (he himself) are excited about his new tooth :)

When we got these Watermelons home, Kedaar realized he got a new toy and

Kedaar walks comfortably

Kedaar started waling very comfortably without support from the past 2 weeks.
He just does not want to crawl now. We have captured his walking in several videos and will upload them seen.

Kedaar Walking

Kedaar is 9 months old

Kedaar completed 9 months yesterday on Aug 8th. Time just flies by. He is becoming more and more naughtier day by day.

Kedaar wore a new dress in the evening and we took a bunch of photos while he was playing, laughing and trying to stand.We will upload the photos some time during the weekend.

Kedaar's First step

Yesterday Kedaar took his first step wtthout support in day care. The day care lady (Kathy) told us that he could stand for long time without support and finally managed to take a step. We are waiting for this to happen at home too :)

Cute things

Kedaar amazes us everyday with his little endeavors.
He stands so easily now and is able to balance himself for few seconds without support.He is able to use the small walker we bought for him (from Target) to practice walking.Riding on his small 3 wheel scooter and the walker are
his favorite activities nowadays.He also uses his umbrella stroller as walker :)

Today he did one cute (and scary) thing. He was crawling around the kitchen when I was cooking something in the night.After some time, we noticed that he is just keeping his mouth closed and was chewing something. He had little tears in eyes though he was not crying.
We thought that may be he is just feeling sleepy after a long tiring day we had. I also tried to look into his mouth, but nothing seemed to be there.
After 1/2 hr or so, he was still chewing something and kept his mouth shut.
We forcibly opened his mouth and to our surprise there is an onion piece in his mouth!

Few days back, he did one more thing. He was playing quietly in his play yard. He generally does not play alone in the play yard unless he is in very good mood. We were very happy that he is playing and did not even look at him with both of us being busy with something. After some time, I just looked to see what he is doing. He had put the umbrella storller that was there in the play yard down, moved it to the play yard wall for support and climbed it conveniently. Then he was trying to see from there if we had noticed him. When he knew that we saw him, he just kept on smiling and posed for few photos.

Time just seems to fly. He is completing 9 months soon.
The small baby we got from hospital in still so much in our minds.It is such a wonderful experience to watch him grow learning new things day by day.

Photo sessions

We took Kedaar to Sears and PicturePeople yesterday for photo sessions.
We did one session for him when he was 1 month old and did not do it again all this while. We got 8 very nice pictures overall. Especially the ones taken in PicturePeople came out really well. He was pretty active in the photo sessions and was too busy trying to stand or crawl around the room.
So the photographers could not take any pictures while he is on back, lying on the stomach etc.We could have probably done those when he was much younger.We plan to scan the pictures and upload them shortly.
